Joy Quilters, a quilt group based in Maryville, has graciously donated a patriotic themed quilt for raffle. Ann Smith, the head of the group and quilting mentor to a lot of the members, has a personal connection to the military. Her husband, Dewey was a WWII vet and they moved here from West Salem, IL. Dewey was on the US Keokuk a mine and net laying ship. “That may be the reason Ann has such a heart for veterans, ” said Crystal, a member of the group. The class started in the fall of 2013 and includes several ladies that make the quilts.
We will draw for the winner of the quilt on December 22, 2018. For more details on this raffle please check out the raffle page or our FB Event.
